Nissan Trailseeker #2 Buffelsdrift
Just 15 km north of Pretoria close to the Roodeplaat dam, lies a lush bushveld haven waiting to be discovered by trail runners. The third trail run of the Nissan Trailseeker Trail Run Series takes place in what surely must be described as trail running heaven, the Buffelsdrift Trail Park. The trails have been purpose built to challenge and excite every level of runner and are maintained in pristine condition. The terrain is hard and rocky amongst the grasslands and, depending on your chosen distance, will lead you up challenging rocky sections. Gentle bushveld single track makes for ideal game watching, so keep an eye out for antelope or warthog when out on the trails. The proximity of the Roodeplaat dam as well as the extensive canal network and Pienaars river that runs through the Buffelsdrift Conservancy gives the area a lush, abundant appeal and attracts a wide variety of birds.
